  • Owner, Operator, Designer & Visionary

Hey Y’all! I'm Hampton Keith Bishop, the creative artist behind North to South Balloons, also known as HKBalloons. My work brings innovative balloon designs to life in cities including Charleston, New York City, Nashville or anywhere! (I am always traveling!) With over 30 years in the balloon art industry, I take pride in crafting visually stunning creations that enhance any occasion.

My journey began in Bowling Green, KY, where I discovered the art of balloon design from a family friend (Broadway The Clown, a Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Performer) at just five years old.  Where it started with a balloon dog, it has blossomed into something much bigger! Alongside balloons, I have a passion for music. I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Belmont University, where I learned valuable skills such as time management and the importance of professionalism. My experience in the arts has significantly influenced my approach to balloon artistry, ensuring each piece is meticulously crafted, whether it’s for a backyard event or a grand stage.

I've been fortunate to have my work featured in prestigious contexts, including collaborations with the Jonas Brothers on Broadway and appearances on "Saturday Night Live." My designs have also been showcased in popular TV shows like “Pose,” “Blue Bloods,” and “Kimmy Schmidt,” and installed in art galleries and even made it to the runway at New York Fashion Week. I'm deeply grateful for these opportunities and eager to share my passion for balloon artistry with you. I hope I can build something for you soon!
