What types of balloon displays do you offer?
(Do you do arches, garlands, centerpieces, balloon walls, etc.?)
HK Balloons provide a wide range of balloon décor for events across Charleston, North Charleston, Park Circle, and the surrounding Lowcountry. Our offerings include custom balloon garlands, arches, centerpieces, balloon walls, large-scale installations, themed sculptures, printed balloons, and lighted balloons. Whether it’s a birthday, baby shower, wedding, festival, or corporate event, we design balloon décor that fits your vision and enhances your space.
How far in advance should I place my order? (What’s the minimum lead time for birthday parties, holidays, or corporate events?)
For Charleston and North Charleston events, we recommend placing orders as early as possible, especially during peak seasons like summer and December holidays. Many dates fill up 1–6 months in advance. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and for large or custom installs, earlier booking ensures availability. For last-minute needs, please reach out as we always try our best to accommodate!
Do you offer delivery and installation? (Is setup included? Are there additional fees based on location or size of the display?)
Yes. HK Balloons offers professional delivery and installation throughout Charleston, North Charleston, Park Circle, Hanahan, and nearby areas. Delivery within Park Circle is complimentary. Events held downtown or on surrounding islands may include mileage-based delivery fees. For our New York City clients, we offer a flat-rate delivery fee unless otherwise noted in the contract.
What areas do you serve? (Do you cover the entire Charleston and NYC metro areas? Are there travel fees outside of those regions?)
We proudly serve Charleston, North Charleston, Park Circle, Hanahan, and the greater Lowcountry. We also provide balloon décor in New York City and Nashville. For events outside our primary service areas, travel fees may apply, but we are happy to travel and bring our balloon artistry anywhere it’s needed.
Can I customize the color scheme and theme? (Do you match specific themes like gender reveals, holidays, or corporate branding?)
Absolutely. We offer full customization for all balloon décor, including 100+ color options and specialized sourcing for hard-to-find shades. We match themes such as gender reveals, holidays, corporate branding, school spirit, or custom color palettes. We can also incorporate printed logos, graphics, and personalized balloon designs to make your event completely unique.
How long will the balloons last? (Are they air- or helium-filled? Indoor vs outdoor longevity?)
Balloon longevity depends on the environment and balloon type. For most Charleston-area events, we use high-quality materials and professional techniques to maximize durability. Air-filled balloons typically last days to weeks indoors, and helium balloons last anywhere from 2 to 30 days depending on the material. Outdoor balloons are more exposed to heat, sun, and humidity, which may reduce their lifespan. We use techniques like pre-stretching, sizing, and High-Float treatment to extend longevity whenever possible.
For indoor balloon décor, you can expect most designs to last several days to multiple weeks, especially when kept in a climate-controlled environment where oxidation happens more slowly. For helium pieces, foil balloons tend to have the longest float time, while untreated latex balloons typically float for around 12 hours. When requested, we use High-Float on latex balloons to extend their float time to approximately 3–5 days. Our goal is always to ensure your décor remains as vibrant and long-lasting as possible for your event.
What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor setup? (Do you reschedule, offer refunds, or adapt the design?)
Charleston weather can be unpredictable, so we are always prepared with backup options. If conditions change, we can move your setup indoors when possible or adjust the design to work with the environment.
If an event is canceled due to severe weather, we can drop off the balloons for later use. Please note that refunds are not offered for weather-related cancellations.
What is your pricing structure? (Do you offer packages or a la carte pricing? What’s your starting price point?)
Whether your budget ranges from $25 to $25,000, we are committed to crafting a design that meets your vision and needs.
Whether you need a small arrangement or a full-scale balloon installation, we’ll work with you to design something beautiful within your budget. Air-filled designs offer the most flexibility, while helium pieces may vary in cost due to global helium pricing. All pricing will be clearly outlined before booking.

Do you require a deposit? (What’s your payment process—deposit, balance due, cancellation/refund policy?)
To secure your event date, we require full payment prior to inflating any balloons. For corporate clients, schools, or organizations with net-30 or net-90 terms, we can discuss alternate billing arrangements. All payment, cancellation, and contract details will be clearly outlined for you before the event.
Can you work with my event planner or venue?(Do you coordinate logistics or site visits with third-party vendors?)
Yes. Collaborating with your event planner or venue is part of our process. We coordinate design, timing, and logistics to ensure installation runs smoothly. For venue safety, we use non-damaging methods such as magnets, clips, command hooks, and ties. We do not use nails, glue, or tape on venue surfaces.
Do you offer same-day or rush orders? (Is there an upcharge or cutoff time for last-minute orders?)
We do offer rush orders and same-day pickups when our schedule allows. Because our team services multiple Charleston-area locations and travels for events, availability may vary. Please contact us as soon as possible for rush requests, and we’ll do everything we can to fit you in.
Do you provide breakdown/cleanup services after the event? (If not, what should I do with the display once the event ends?)
Yes. We offer optional breakdown and strike services after your event. Some clients choose to keep the balloons longer, while corporate clients or venues may require same-night removal. Strike fees depend on distance and timing and will be clearly outlined in your contract.
Do you offer a latex-free option? (This is a common issue in hospitals, schools, nursing homes)
Yes, we offer latex-free balloon décor for venues that require it, including schools, hospitals, and care facilities. Our latex-free options include foil balloons in a variety of colors, shapes, and designs. Foil-only décor is vibrant, long-lasting, and can be fully customized to your theme.
